Waiting for Spring

I refuse to believe it’s going to be cold outside this weekend. I have already put away my Dale sweaters. (It’s crazy that I even own Dale of Norway sweaters, but we do go up north a couple times a year to visit family, and they come in handy!) My bluebonnets are already sending up blooms. My hyacinths actually are blooming, I noticed today.

But alas, the forecast for Monday is something like zero degrees, which is the coldest ever (not kidding) for our area. So hopefully, my bluebonnets survive, and the weatherman is wrong. One guy in a gardening group I’m in says he’s more inclined to trust the wildflowers than the weathermen. I like this person.

And so, I hope and wait for Spring.
