That’s me.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17 And everything you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Colossians 3: 16-17 (EHV)

In everything you do, give thanks to God the Father through Jesus!

Our pastor gave a sermon recently asking if everything we did was God-pleasing. He admits he fails sometimes. He has ears, and he hears the conversations in the hallway. He knows not everything we members do is 100% perfect. We are sinful human beings. It is our human nature. It is ultimately why God sent his Son to save us, and we are so grateful for that.

But we can try to do good, and repent those times we fail. And we can give thanks and praise for His redeeming Son! And so, I read a lot. A few years ago I discovered I really like to paint. When I moved to Texas, I discovered I might actually have a knack for gardening after all. And in 2020, I learned to crochet again. Useful hobbies. I try to keep them God-pleasing, praising his name. When I see the talents God has gifted me with are needed or useful to others, I offer them with love and service. Next month, I might learn something new. Join me on my journey.
